Your Service is Needed!

If you have begun to think on your schedule during the month of December...and you find yourself with nothing to do... then why not enlist as a volunteer for the 2009 North Pole Christmas in Ice!?

You can serve hot dogs, hot cocoa, chili, or if you consider yourself a night owl... there is always overnight security!

"Many hands make the work light." - said by someone great and wise!

If you are interested in volunteering, send us an email from the contact page, and we will get back with you.

See you in December!

Welcome to North Pole Christmas in Ice!

Sample ImageNorth Pole Christmas in Ice is the magical event that lights up the Christmas season in the interior of Alaska.  Each year, features of the prior year are incorporated into the current festivities with many new additional attractions.  The children’s play area features playground equipment made entirely of ice and snow.  Individual ice sculptures portraying various aspects of Christmas inspire viewers and bring out the sentiment of this holiday season.  This is an outdoor winter activity for the whole family. Food and beverage concessions are available in our heated facilities on site and is open to the public for a nominal entry fee.

Ice activities begin in November with the presentation of the Turkey Carving (in ice) on Thanksgiving Day. Following this initial Holiday, this ice art will be transformed into a life size Santa Claus driving his sleigh pulled by his team of reindeer. The sleigh is an interactive part of the Ice Park with an active webcam poised to take your picture as you seat yourself within Santa’s Sleigh.
